Yesterday’s roller coaster ride taught us a powerful lesson. The main takeaway from the evening: we have a serious problem — too many accounts and too many open trades on a single mobile phone.
For half the evening, we were literally defending our deposits, doing the best we could, “putting out fires,” and moving positions from Coin-M to USDT-M futures to save our margin. We were playing right on the edge, but we learned a few things. Continuing to work this way means knowingly risking a wipeout.
So we’re not sitting on a powder keg during the next sell-off, we’re putting four ironclad safety rules in place:
• Consolidate balances. No more spreading liquidity across a dozen wallets. Capital should be held in one place to manage margin effectively.
• Strict position limits. Trading more than 2–3 positions at once on a smartphone is a technical trap. Your fingers simply can’t react quickly enough on a screen when the market makes a sudden move.
• Hard stops instead of “manual rescues.” If a position takes half the evening to save by adding collateral, its structure was flawed from the start. From now on, only system-set Stop-Loss and Take-Profit orders.
• Use the right tools. Mobile phones are for monitoring only. Any complex maneuvers, management of multiple sub-accounts, or futures trading must be done on a desktop.
The market taught us an expensive lesson. Fortunately, we paid for it with just a sleepless night and some frayed nerves—not a wiped-out balance. We’re moving forward, but with sensible risk management this time.
Wishing everyone a profitable and peaceful day! 🚀
