【Market Flash】Netflix is bringing the FTX collapse to the screen. The streaming giant posted a trailer on X for an eight-episode limited series about the events leading up to FTX’s downfall. It stars former CEO SBF and his ex-girlfriend Caroline Ellison, the former head of Alameda. The series is set to premiere on November 19. In the trailer, Julia Garner, who plays Ellison, delivers the line, "It’s not bad to lie for a good cause," echoing Ellison’s testimony at SBF’s criminal trial. SBF was sentenced to 25 years in prison on seven felony counts, including fraud, and is still serving his sentence in federal prison; Ellison was released this January. Even amid the dramatization, the FTX saga remains the crypto industry’s biggest cautionary tale.
