A rare heavyweight group photo has emerged in the U.S. tech industry.

Elon Musk, NVIDIA’s Jensen Huang, AMD’s Lisa Su, Google co-founder Sergey Brin, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, and Dell founder Michael Dell—six people—stand together to receive U.S. National Medals for science and technology.

On October 8, U.S. President Trump presented two national-level medals at the Science: A New Golden Age Summit.

Among them, Musk, Huang, Su, and Brin received the National Medal of Science.

Nadella and Dell received the National Medal of Technology and Innovation.

The companies represented by these six figures span the most important foundational infrastructure in today’s AI industry:

NVIDIA and AMD provide AI computing chips.

Microsoft and Google build large-scale cloud and AI ecosystems.

Dell contributes to enterprise computing and data center infrastructure.

Musk spans space, satellite communications, AI, and automation technologies.

Another noteworthy detail is that five of the six award recipients were born outside the United States.

This ceremony also brought key figures behind the global AI industry together in a rare appearance in the same photograph.
