I finished watching this Utexo video.
On October 14, @utexocom will talk with @unisat_wallet co-founder @lorenzonical about UniSat supporting USDT.
What’s confirmed is that UniSat will integrate RGB-based USDT, with plans to support sending, receiving, and exchanging. They haven’t said which day it’ll go live yet, but I’m inclined to think this is a good bet.
RGB has been discussed for many years—the missing piece is really a wallet entry point that has users’ funds. UniSat already has a lot of BRC20, Runes, and Ordinals users. If USDT can truly go directly into wallets, then in the Bitcoin ecosystem, trading finally won’t require everything to detour back through exchanges, and liquidity should be a bit easier to manage.
That said, RGB isn’t about stuffing every transaction fully into the Bitcoin mainnet. Utexo’s cross-chain solution also involves bridges and TEE. Security, audits, deposit/withdrawal speed, and liquidity—everything will need to be evaluated after it’s actually live.
Let’s see if UniSat can really support depositing, withdrawing, and trading first, and then we can judge whether this storyline has substance.
