I finished watching this one from Utexo.
On October 14, @utexocom will talk with @unisat_wallet’s founder @lorenzonical about UniSat supporting USDT.
What’s been confirmed is that UniSat will integrate the RGB version of USDT. It plans to support sending, receiving, and exchanging, but they haven’t said which day it will go live yet—I’m personally inclined to think this will work out.
RGB has been discussed for many years; what it’s lacking is a wallet entry point with real users’ funds. UniSat already has a lot of BRC20, Runes, and Ordinals users. If USDT can truly go directly into a wallet, then in the Bitcoin ecosystem, trading finally won’t require everything to be routed back through exchanges, and liquidity should be a bit easier to manage.
But RGB isn’t about stuffing every transaction entirely into the Bitcoin mainnet. Utexo’s cross-chain solution also involves bridges and TEE. Security, auditing, deposit/withdrawal speed, and liquidity all need to be verified after things go live.
Once UniSat really can be funded, can withdraw, and can trade, then we can see whether this line has substance.
