Eli Ben-Sasson, co-founder and CEO of StarkWare, said that Starknet—being a Layer 2 network that relies on Ethereum’s underlying security—is considering various options, including transitioning to L1, to independently control the security migration process and address cryptographic risks brought by quantum computing and AI. Built on ZK-STARK, Starknet has cryptographic agility and has already laid out a roadmap for post-quantum secure migration. Ethereum plans to achieve full-scale, first-layer quantum-resistant attack capabilities by the end of 2029, while Bitcoin has not made a similar commitment. The covered products include the Pyth Pro subscription, Listing as a Service, Data Marketplace, and Pyth Indices. To date, reserve totals of $PYTH have accumulated 42 million PYTH. Under the new authorization, the first batch of purchases was executed on September 30.
