Sui’s Hashi Mainnet Is About to Launch
At the Sui Basecamp 2026 conference, Sui announced that its Bitcoin financial infrastructure, Hashi, will roll out to the mainnet in phases this month. The project has secured over $500 million in funding commitments from a consortium made up of 20-plus partner organizations. Hashi supports using native BTC for DeFi collateral, powering applications such as lending, vaults, and structured products. Anchorage Digital has joined the first batch of partners, providing institutional custody access and stablecoin liquidity.
What’s notable is that this is the first time an institutional-grade custodian has endorsed a Bitcoin-collateralized DeFi structure. In the current market environment, the scale of the $500 million funding commitments represents genuine incremental capital rather than a mere verbal intention.
Also worth noting is that $SUI , in the same period, launched Circle’s CCTP V2. Native USDC can now be transferred between Sui and 29 other supported chains, and minting authority is held by Circle.
However, the price action is diverging from the news backdrop. Sui is currently trading at 1.0545, down 6.54% in the past 24 hours and 10.43% over 7 days. It is -6.27% from the EMA20, -7.92% from the EMA50, and +4.55% from the EMA200. Support is at 0.998, while resistance is at 1.147. After the good news is priced in, the price fails to rise and instead falls, suggesting the market has already become desensitized to the positive news. What to watch for is that if it breaks below 0.998, it will confirm the breakdown.
