$BTC The core client receives a privacy upgrade: Bitcoin Core has merged a privacy fix targeting private broadcasts into the 32.x branch code.

This fix addresses a behavioral characteristic that could be exploited by an analyst to link private broadcast connections with connections to regular nodes, helping reduce the risk of node operators’ on-chain activities being traced and identified. Note that this feature is disabled by default; users who are currently using the latest stable version 31.1 and have this feature enabled still need to wait— as of October 8, the backport patch for the 31.x branch has not yet been completed.
