BTC Perpetuals Night Session: Position First, Direction Second

Before the price speaks, leverage should shut up first.

Perpetuals only acknowledge three numbers—everything else is noise.

1. BTC 81770, 24h 80394-83521, up/down -1.82%.
2. BTC open interest (notional) 7.57 billion USD, 24h -5.22%
3. Overall long/short ratio 1.88

My view: The funding rate is 0.0019%, close to zero. The long/short ratio is 1.88—leverage hasn’t picked a side. If it hasn’t picked a side, don’t use high leverage to do the choosing for it.

Execution zones (based on current price ± structure, not old charts):
- Breakout zone: Only talk about chasing after holding above 82,424. If you don’t stand above it, it’s a fake breakout.
- Pullback entry: 80,789-81,279. If it breaks and holds below, don’t catch.
- Abandon zone: If within 1h it closes below 80,298, this trade is not done.

My position: Don’t catch the first knife. Until the drawdown has translated into a drop in open positions, long entries on the left side are catching flying knives.

Data: Binance spot 24h / Binance USD-m / Yahoo daily (5-day gains/losses). Missing figures aren’t filled in.
At the pullback level will you set orders, or wait for the candle close?
