According to on-chain data tracking tool XRP Insights, as of 8:00 AM UTC on October 8, wallets under exchanges collectively hold about 21.97 billion $XRP , covering 699 wallets and 24 trading platforms, including both customer custodial assets and cold storage.
But “custodied on exchanges” does not mean there are sell orders posted. The amount you can actually buy depends on the effective sell-order depth at each price level and the range of bids the market can absorb.
