【The Arrival of Traditional Financial Giants and the Choice of Public Chain: Can Solana Withstand the Regulatory Tests of Tokenizing U.S. Stocks?】

According to reports compiled from multiple domestic and foreign media outlets, the asset tokenization platform Securitize has recently officially launched a tokenized U.S. stocks product called Securitize Stocks. The company has introduced the first batch of 12 well-known companies’ shares onto the Solana blockchain. These assets include shares of leading firms such as Apple, Nvidia, Tesla, and Microsoft. Each token is one-to-one backed by the underlying actual shares, and corresponding shareholder rights—such as dividends and voting—are fully preserved. For trading and settlement, USDC is used primarily for invoicing.

In terms of technology and market architecture, the product’s early-stage liquidity has been supported by Jump Trading. Clearing, custody, and settlement are handled through RQD. Even more noteworthy is that reports state the project plans to further expand in the future to the digital trading platform under the New York Stock Exchange and the OKXICE platform. This attempt to combine traditional compliance-based assets with high-performance public-chain infrastructure reflects the ongoing evaluation by institutional asset issuers of public-chain throughput capacity and ecosystem depth.

This development has sparked different observations and discussions across the industry. Supporters argue that combining traditional U.S. stocks with compliant stablecoins not only improves the efficiency of asset circulation, but also provides qualified investors with a more flexible on-chain allocation channel. At the same time, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s current exploration of regulatory exemptions for tokenized securities creates room for policy experimentation for such cross-industry innovations.

However, projects of this kind still face many real-world challenges and require cautious consideration. Tokenizing U.S. stocks involves complex securities laws, cross-border compliance review, and investor access restrictions. In particular, whether it can truly and seamlessly integrate with traditional core financial infrastructure such as the NYSE remains to be tested over time. As traditional finance and blockchain integration deepens, the real-world execution results and liquidity performance of tokenized assets within a compliance framework will be the key focus of long-term market observation.
