Oracle shares plunged more than 5% on Thursday after a Financial Times report said OpenAI’s annualized revenue was approaching $50 billion at September’s end, below the $70 billion previously reported. The move also hit AI peers, with Broadcom down nearly 4%, Nvidia more than 2% lower and Microsoft off over 1%, according to BeInCrypto, as investors questioned whether OpenAI can support Oracle’s $300 billion, five-year cloud deal and other AI commitments. Oracle said AI cloud demand continues to grow faster than supply.
