On October 8, digital asset company Securitize announced the launch of tokenized stock trading, with the first batch covering 12 listed companies including Apple, Nvidia, Microsoft, and Tesla.
What’s even more noteworthy is that these products are being launched on Solana first.
The initial trading session has been extended, and future plans call for further support for 24-hour trading.
This means that blockchain is trying to take on some of the trading and settlement needs of traditional stock markets.
