【Sui Ecosystem Cross-Chain Project Hashi Mainnet Launch Set: Secured Over $500M in Bitcoin Finance Commitments】

According to Cointelegraph, Hashi, a cross-chain and financial infrastructure for the Sui blockchain, is set to receive more than $500 million in Bitcoin finance commitments ahead of its mainnet launch. This development aims to connect large-scale Bitcoin liquidity with the Sui ecosystem, providing institutional participants with more decentralized finance (DeFi) tools.

In terms of technology and custody support, crypto asset custody firm Anchorage Digital will provide settlement and self-custody services for institutions involved in the project. By introducing regulated custody providers, the plan seeks to open a path for traditional institutional capital to enter emerging L1 blockchain ecosystems while safeguarding asset security.

Market analysis suggests that these massive commitments reflect mainstream public chains accelerating their bid for spillover liquidity from the Bitcoin ecosystem. However, how many of these commitments ultimately translate into assets actually locked on-chain will still depend on the stability of operations after the mainnet officially goes live, as well as the market’s level of trust in the security of cross-chain bridges.

As cross-chain financial infrastructure continues to expand, asset interoperability between different public chains is entering a new phase of development. For developers and institutions, how to pursue high yields while mitigating the inherent security risks of cross-chain bridges will be a core issue the industry needs to keep discussing over the coming period.
