$BNB or $SOL : I compared two networks by fees, apps, and who they’re suited for🧐.

First, let me explain: I’m not picking a winner. I looked at what’s more convenient for different things, and the result surprised me.

Fees
Solana is cheaper: the typical fee here is under 1 cent, while on BNB Chain it can be up to 5 cents. In practice, both are cheap for small transactions, and you only notice the difference when making a lot of transactions.

Liquidity and TVL
According to one of the latest comparisons, about $5.08 billion in DeFi TVL is locked on BSC, compared with about $4.77 billion on Solana. So they’re close, and which one leads depends on the date.

Apps
On BNB Chain, there are PancakeSwap and Venus; on Solana, Jupiter and Kamino. BNB Chain is EVM-compatible, so apps and wallets familiar from Ethereum work without having to learn something new. Solana has its own architecture, which delivers speed but takes some getting used to.

Decentralization
Solana has over 2,500 validators, while BSC has 50–100. That’s a significant difference if censorship resistance matters to you.

My conclusion
$BNB is more convenient if you already use Binance and want an easy way in. SOL is more interesting if speed matters and you’re ready to explore a different ecosystem.

This isn’t advice, just a comparison.
