To put it simply, a friend asked me how to use the long/short ratio, so I’ll use $NEAR as an example:
The top trader long/short position ratio is 2.66, meaning that based on position size, 72.7% are long and 27.4% are short.
A ratio above 1 means a higher proportion of traders are going long; below 1 means more are going short. But remember: the more extreme the ratio, the more cautious you should be about a move in the opposite direction.
