【AI test at 40.6M TPS makes me rethink SUI】

A couple of days ago, I saw the 40.6M TPS AI agent test results from Sui tunnels. My first reaction was: Is this for real?

Honestly, I hadn’t felt particularly strongly about SUI before. Its Move-based technology is solid, but there are plenty of blockchains out there, and good tech doesn’t guarantee success. But these test results have made me take another look.

Why?

Because this isn’t aimed at people like you and me who trade crypto—it’s for people who actually need to use it. What do AI agents need to run tasks? Low latency, high throughput, and stable connections. 40.6M TPS isn’t designed for human trading; it’s designed for machines to communicate with each other.

From a business perspective, RWA and AI agents are the two areas I’m most bullish on these days. RWA brings real-world assets on-chain, while AI agents automate on-chain interactions. For either of these to take off, the underlying blockchain needs to be fast and reliable enough.

If SUI can truly deliver stable performance for AI agent use cases, then it’s not entering the old battleground of “public blockchain competition”—it’s addressing the need for infrastructure in the AI era. That opportunity is much bigger than crypto speculation alone.

But here’s the question—

What about the market? The price is $ 1.11, with support at $ 1.09 and resistance at $ 1.17. It’s down nearly 5% over the past 7 days. A 79% decline certainly puts it in oversold territory, while a sentiment index of 64 isn’t extreme either.

Honestly, what I haven’t figured out is this: Is the market digesting this drop, or does the capital simply not care about this technological progress?

There’s always a period when technicals and fundamentals are out of sync.

Where I stand right now: SUI’s technological progress has made me think more highly of it, but the market hasn’t given me enough reason to take a large position yet. At this level, a directional move looks imminent.

What are you watching? Do you think this AI agent use case can actually become a reality?
