A few signals to watch in U.S. stocks

There’s no new narrative in U.S. stocks today, just price moves.

I’m not guessing price levels today—just looking at numbers that are already in.

Nasdaq 27,539 (5-day +2.52%, Yahoo)
Dow 51,180 (5-day +0.54%, Yahoo)

What this means: The Nasdaq is up 2.52% over five days, outperforming the S&P 500 at +1.96%. Risk appetite is still focused on growth stocks; this isn’t a broad-based bull market. If crypto is going to follow, it’ll follow the Nasdaq’s higher beta, not the Dow.

BTC 82,650, 24-hour volume $1.38 billion. ETH/BTC 0.03082. ETH at -1.28% is tracking closely with BTC at -1.35%, with the exchange rate at 0.03082. There’s no independent move, so don’t make an all-in bet on altcoins.

Looking ahead: The next thing to watch is whether the 10-year yield can stabilize. If yields keep rising, I’ll treat rallies in growth stocks and BTC as bounces.

My position: I’m not trying to catch the first drop. Until falling prices are accompanied by a decline in open interest, stepping in early is just catching a falling knife.
