Niu Lai has fallen from a high of 0.16u to 0.073u, losing more than half its value. Nothing really happened to the project itself—the fuel just ran out.

This one is different from your typical shitcoin. Its hype never came from the crypto world itself; it was all brought in from outside.

Look at its run-ups. On August 15, the movie trended, and the token surged more than 40x in a single day. On August 30, Binance listed futures, and it climbed from 0.055u to 0.13u in one day. On the evening of September 9, Binance opened spot trading, and within days it hit its all-time high of 0.16u.

One movie, one Binance listing—that was all the fuel.

Now both have run their course. The movie left theaters on October 4. Binance has listed both futures and spot; it’s given all it can.

You can see it in the market, too. In mid-September, daily trading volume was still over 100 million u. These past few days, it’s down to just 15 million u. The price has fallen back to where it was before Binance opened spot trading, giving back the entire rally.

Da Chao’s take: Without a new catalyst, Niu Lai will most likely keep grinding down. Don’t chase the bounces along the way.

The next thing that could reignite it will have to come from the movie side—for example, if it starts streaming and gets dragged back into the trending topics. Then it may be worth taking another look.
