🚨 Second, an implementation project for Ark Protocol, was hacked, losing 0.75 BTC of its own funds (about $62,300). User funds were unaffected, and the issue was fixed within hours.
The attacker exploited a vulnerability in the Ark server’s boarding process, registering for and exiting boards using only their own signature, then double-spending VTXOs via the Lightning Network. They continued trying to extract more funds and launch DoS attacks.
Second said the attack may have reduced the ability of Bark-based wallets to receive Lightning payments. The attacker also tried unsuccessfully to use BTC related to a September 19 security vulnerability in Blink Wallet.
