Day 18 and still waiting? This kind of setup that’s just one step away is the real test

I scanned STAR Radar today: total score 25, and the red light is still on. But here’s the interesting part—no new low for 3 days, Day 18 lands right in the BSB bottoming window, and the price is stuck at the lower end of the range at $0.17.

When a setup is this close to taking off, even seasoned crypto traders get torn. Here’s how I read these signals:

1. oi_change_7d is -14.5%: open interest is dropping fast, and big money hasn’t stepped in
2. volume_ratio is only 4%: dead quiet, with nobody buying or selling
3. taker_ratio looks fierce at 99%, but be careful—extreme readings like this are often just the illusion of buying pressure created by shorts closing their positions

I’ve been burned by this on other shitcoins before. I saw taker at 99%, got carried away and jumped in, then the next day it was straight down 30%. Now numbers like this make me even more cautious.

The system gives the time window a score of 15: days_to_bsb=0 and days_to_avg=6 days. That means the window has opened, but the time isn’t quite right yet.

My strategy: I won’t try to call the bottom. I’ll wait for both signals to confirm—a bullish candle on rising volume and open interest flowing back in. You could try a small position with 10% of your usual size, but absolutely don’t go all in.

$BTC $ETH $SOL The broader market is also pulling back today, so it’s even more important to stay disciplined when buying the dip in this kind of environment.

What do you think—should you get in early on a setup that’s this close, or wait for volume to pick up before making a move? Let’s talk in the comments.
