Bitget held an offline event for its eighth anniversary, where Greater China head Xie Jiayin reviewed the platform's eight-year development and said it has expanded from a single cryptocurrency trading venue into a universal exchange, or UEX, covering stocks, commodities and AI trading.
According to Foresight News, Xie said non-crypto assets accounted for 40% of Bitget's trading volume by the second quarter, and about one in four new users now begin using Bitget through rToken.
Looking ahead, Xie said Bitget will continue advancing its UEX strategy by adding more asset classes and trading scenarios, while improving institutional custody and over-the-counter settlement infrastructure to meet different institutional needs. Institutional services will remain a key strategic focus in the next phase.
At the event, Bitget also disclosed progress on the third round of rewards under its Companion Program. According to Foresight News, the program has distributed a total of $3,495,658 in rewards across 2,277,318 instances, and Xie said the platform aims to turn its user-first approach into concrete actions through product development, service upgrades and user rewards.
