The CLARITY Act isn’t dead yet—French Hill wants to seize the last window of opportunity!

The decisive battle over U.S. crypto regulation may have to wait until after November.
French Hill, chair of the House Financial Services Committee, recently said he still hopes Congress can pass the CLARITY Act during the “lame-duck session” after the midterm elections.

Why is this so critical now?
👉 In September’s procedural vote, the Senate voted 49 in favor and 50 against
👉 It’s still well short of the 60 votes needed for passage
👉 After the November midterm elections, Congress will have only a limited amount of time to legislate
👉 Hill believes the SEC and CFTC’s current regulatory actions still can’t take the place of legislation passed by Congress

Put simply:
Regulators can step in for now, but the real “rules of the game” still need to be written into law by Congress.
If the CLARITY Act gets moving again during the lame-duck session, it could mean a lot for the U.S. crypto industry.

That’s because this isn’t just about whether the SEC or the CFTC will be in charge. It’s also about whether the U.S. can establish a lasting, stable set of rules for digital asset markets in the years ahead.

So what to watch next isn’t just BTC and ETH.
After November, will the CLARITY Act get one last shot?
