$485 million was pulled from Bitcoin ETFs in a single session—wiping out all of October’s gains—and you guys are still asking, “Is this the bottom?”
This was the biggest ETF outflow since June. It wasn’t retail selling. It was institutions—Fidelity (FBTC), Bitwise (BITB), and even BlackRock’s IBIT couldn’t turn things around.
$ETH Even worse: 7 consecutive sessions of net outflows. Ether ETFs don’t offer staking yield, so long-term institutions aren’t interested—the inflows into ETHA or FETH haven’t been strong enough to reverse the trend.
Here’s my simple take: U.S. Treasury yields are edging up, the Fed’s rate-cut path is unclear, and the election is getting closer—institutional investors are taking short-term profits and shifting to defense. Nothing unusual, but don’t stand in front of the train.
$BTC is at $83,027 (-1.4% over 24 hours) at the time of writing. $ETH is down to $2,570. Pressure from liquidations of leveraged longs is still ongoing.
I don’t know if this is the bottom or just a pause before another drop. But with institutions pulling out, catching a falling knife with full margin is structurally unsound—no matter how thorough your analysis is. DYOR.
