😬 Polygon joked about shutting down. It had to apologize
The Polygon team published a post styled like a farewell announcement: “It is with a heavy heart that we must announce…” But it soon became clear that the network wasn’t shutting down—the project reported growth in its metrics and promised a “bullish announcement.”
Not everyone appreciated the joke: users commented that they were scared and demanded that the post be deleted.
A Polygon co-founder apologized and admitted that the joke “didn’t land as expected.” He said the team wanted to use it to respond to those who call the project dead.
