According to Jin10, the euro held steady in European trading on Thursday after falling sharply earlier in the week. Later in the day, European Central Bank and Bank of England officials were due to speak, and the ECB was set to release minutes from its September policy meeting. In the United States, weekly initial jobless claims and August wholesale inventories were due, while the Fed released minutes from its September meeting. The minutes showed that most policymakers thought another rate hike might still be needed before year-end, while they were also growing more concerned about upside inflation risks, economic resilience, and demand pressure from strong growth in artificial intelligence investment.
