Odaily Planet Daily News: The Ethereum Glamsterdam upgrade has raised Sepolia testnet’s block gas limit from around 60 million to nearly 200 million. Developers are testing whether the increased capacity can support more payments and transactions.
Early test blocks used only 26% to 46% of their capacity. A voting round lasting six minutes produced all planned blocks, with 99.97% of eligible staking weight participating in finalization.
The upgrade adjusts transaction processing costs and data access costs. The Hoodi testnet is tentatively scheduled for October 27, while the mainnet activation date has yet to be determined. (CoinDesk)
