According to Singapore's The Business Times, UOB plans to hire 1,000 fresh graduates by October next year, with roles covering personal financial services and anti-money laundering. The hiring plan also includes management trainee positions, internship programs, and the Future Bankers Program. UOB CEO Wee Ee Cheong said at the bank's annual employee event, Better U Festival, that although artificial intelligence can handle many routine tasks currently done by junior staff and fresh graduates, the bank "will not stop hiring."
