🚨 The U.S. government suddenly moved $470 million in crypto assets!
BTC, WBTC, and USDT all on the move—are they about to dump? 🔥

A major move from wallets linked to the U.S. government! According to Arkham, on October 7, addresses linked to the U.S. government transferred BTC, WBTC, and USDT worth approximately $470 million to an address suspected to belong to Coinbase Prime.
The first reaction to a figure like that is probably:
“Is the government about to sell its crypto?” 😨
But don’t jump to conclusions just yet. So far, the only thing confirmed on-chain is that the assets were transferred. Whether they’ll be sold, when they might be sold, or even whether they’ll be sold at all has not been directly confirmed by on-chain data.
🔥 What’s even more noteworthy is where these funds came from.
According to Arkham’s tracking, the assets are linked to funds previously seized by the U.S. government in connection with the Bitfinex hack, as well as assets associated with Alameda Research.
And this time, BTC wasn’t the only asset transferred.
Along with native BTC, there was also WBTC and USDT.
Although WBTC is pegged to BTC, it is essentially a wrapped token on the blockchain; USDT, meanwhile, is a dollar-pegged stablecoin. The presence of all three asset types has drawn even more market attention to this transfer. So what does moving funds to Coinbase Prime actually mean?
There are several possibilities. The funds could be getting ready for sale, moving into institutional custody, or simply being subject to internal asset management or custody changes.
Funds linked to the U.S. government have previously been transferred to Coinbase Prime, and those transfers were not later directly confirmed to be equivalent to market sell-offs.
📌 So for BTC investors, what’s really worth watching isn’t the claim that “$470 million has already been dumped,” but whether the funds make any further moves.
If they’ve simply been moved to an institutional custody address, the market impact may be limited.
But if they later flow in large amounts to trading platforms, are converted into stablecoins, or are clearly sold, market pressure could intensify. ⚠️
