Meme market: Which moves first, the leaders or small caps?

I only pay attention to memes when they have independent buying demand; otherwise, I treat them as volatility.

For memes, first check whether the leaders have volume, then see whether small caps dare to follow.

BONK 0.00000354 (-3.01%), PEPE 0.00000413 (-3.28%), DOGE 0.0897 (-4.34%), WIF 0.2335 (-4.38%)

For comparison: BTC 83506 (24h -2.28%).

Even leading BONK is down just -3.01%; the weakest is SHIB at -5.02%. Memes are bleeding. Talking about sentiment recovering is self-deception.

BTC is still at 83506 (-2.28%). Until BTC gets above 84,174, I consider any move in memes a right-side entry to be noise.

BTC is the switch for memes: unless it gets above 85496, I won't treat gains in small caps as a sector-wide move.

Would you still be holding memes when they haven't outperformed BTC?
