$BTC $BNB — The U.S. government moved more than $100 million in BTC and BNB, and no one knows why.

On-chain data from Arkham shows that a wallet linked to the U.S. government has just moved more than $100 million worth of crypto, mostly BTC along with some BNB.

Several news outlets confirmed that these are wallets that once held seized assets and still hold around $28 billion in crypto. Moving funds between wallets does not mean they were sold on an exchange.

There has been no official statement explaining the reason for this move. I only consider it a “sale” when I see coins flow directly into an exchange wallet.

The U.S. government is sitting on enough BTC to affect the price if it really dumps it—that’s why people in the industry keep watching whenever this wallet makes a move.

What to watch next: whether coins flow into Coinbase or Binance over the next few days. That would be the real sign of a sale.
