According to Techub News, Malaysia is building an artificial island called “Silicon Island” through land reclamation south of Penang, a historic trading island off the country’s northwest coast. The island is intended to host data centers and technology companies in support of Malaysia’s ambitions in artificial intelligence. The project is part of the Malaysian government’s plan to become a regional AI hub and is expected to attract investment and create jobs.
