The market has smoothly entered “monkey market” territory. I haven’t been paying attention to it lately either—the whole market is just too boring 🥱

OpenAI has dropped 722 long-unsolved math problems.

One really interesting signal is that AI is gradually breaking through the heights of human mathematics. After math, the next truly formidable mountain will most likely be physics.

Math deals with expressing and deriving rules; physics begins to touch the world itself.

Once physics has been more or less conquered, the next stop may be chemistry and “super materials.” After that, biology—and then, I even think, “human-machine integration.”

Maybe Marvel isn’t making movies at all; maybe it’s giving us an early glimpse of the future. Iron Man-style human-machine integration, artificial intelligence, smart assistants, brain-computer interfaces, nanomaterials.

It feels like “a technological explosion” no longer captures what life in the future will be like. An explosion is still too linear. What may truly be frightening is when different technologies start to become coupled with one another.

Paying attention every day to whether the crypto and financial markets are going up or down is a complete waste of life.
