The market is looking pretty rough. BTC has fallen to 83,250, and ETH is down 4.68%.
Of the 739 USDT perpetual contracts, only 109 are up while 630 are down—that's a mere 14.7% in the green. The market is practically all red. Funding rates have also turned negative: BTC at -0.00158% and ETH at -0.00476%. Open interest is down 1.92% to 7.997 billion, suggesting traders aren't rushing in with leverage during the drop; most are sitting on the sidelines.
At times like this, the biggest risk is getting itchy fingers and chasing the action. MET is up 37.35%, but its funding rate is -0.13876%. With shorts this crowded, those sharp wicks back and forth can really sting. I'm staying put for now and waiting for sentiment to flush out.
