🟣 Polygon and TRON join forces: now you can turn dollars in your bank into USDT with a single click

In short: Polygon has added support for TRON to its Open Money Stack, allowing businesses to accept and send USDT through a single integration, without having to piece together a payment system.

Why does this matter? The TRON network is essentially the main highway for digital dollars. More than $94 billion in USDT circulates on it, and its cumulative transfer volume exceeds $30 trillion. When people use USDT as everyday money—for sending funds to family, saving, and making payments—they primarily do so through TRON.

So, what is Open Money Stack? Imagine an all-in-one toolkit for moving money. Previously, a company that wanted to work with stablecoins had to make a separate deal with a bank, connect wallets, find a bridge between blockchains, and obtain licenses. Now all of this can be connected through a single integration.

What this looks like in practice:

💵 Dollars to USDT. The customer pays by bank transfer, card, or cash, and the recipient gets USDT in a TRON wallet. It works the other way, too: USDT can be withdrawn to a bank account.

🏛 It’s all legal. Polygon Ramps connects TRON products to payment channels with money transmitter licenses and compliance infrastructure in 48 U.S. states.

👛 Hassle-free wallets. Each customer gets a permanent TRON deposit address that can be reused.

🔀 Between networks in one go. USDT can be sent between TRON and EVM networks (such as Polygon) in a single process, while the system takes care of the bridges and conversion.

What the authors say. Polygon Labs CEO Marc Boiron explains the idea this way: a payment company connects once and can move money anywhere, while licensing and orchestration are already taken care of behind the scenes.

What not to expect:

This is only the first phase. More assets, markets, and payment features are expected to be added over time.

There’s no magic. Polygon co-founder Sandeep Nailwal noted that the integration simplifies payment orchestration, but it doesn’t turn TRON into a bank or remove payment companies’ licensing obligations.

Coverage across 48 states is broad, but not complete.

The bottom line. Polygon is effectively connecting the world’s most popular network for USDT to its “smart banking toolkit.” For everyday users, this means transfers between dollars and USDT through a bank, app, or exchange could become faster, cheaper, and easier—and major regulated companies will be able to work with TRON too.
