I’m extremely bullish on NØNOS $NOX , and I think a lot of people are seriously underestimating what’s being built here. Most operating systems treat root as game over. Get administrator access and you potentially get the keys to the machine. NØNOS flips that completely. Your title doesn’t give you power. The kernel does. Every program gets only the capabilities it was actually granted. So even a root shell can be unable to read other processes, access hardware, kernel or physical memory, touch raw devices or control the network however it wants. Confinement goes even further. There’s no “up” to escape through. Traditional escape tricks like namespaces, chroot, mount tricks and device nodes aren’t simply hardened. The goal is to remove those attack surfaces entirely. Networking is locked down at the foundation too: no raw sockets, protection against DNS leaks and mixnet routing by default. A browser gets networking. A wallet gets storage. A basic program gets almost nothing. Components are signed and measured, and every capability is checked at the kernel level. Even refusals are accountable. The kernel records what it blocked, why, and the exact system call involved. Security isn’t something added to the OS. Security IS the OS. https://nonos.software/
