Bitcoin (BTC)
The current price is around $83,000–$83,500 (down about 2.5–4% in 24 hours).
After failing to break out of the $86,500–$87,200 zone, BTC experienced a sharp correction triggered by significant long liquidations (~$480–550 million across the crypto market, mostly longs). Additional pressure came from:
Rising oil prices (Brent > $101 due to tensions in the Strait of Hormuz)
US Treasury yields are rising (~5.3%)
The dollar is strengthening
Slowing spot BTC ETF flows (outflows on some days, small inflows on others)
The technical structure remains bullish on higher timeframes:
Still above the 50/100/200-day EMAs (strong support cluster at $75,000–$80,000)
Daily RSI is neutral (~53–55)
Key support: $82,500–$83,000 → $79,600–$80,000
Resistance: $85,000 → $87,000
Ethereum (ETH)
Current price: $2,560–$2,575 (a deeper decline of around 4.5–5.5%).
ETH is underperforming BTC. Key factors:
Consecutive ETH ETF outflows (6 days, including ~$200 million on October 6)
Institutional accumulation signals are weakening
High correlation with risk assets (S&P 500)
Technical analysis:
Critical support: $2,500–$2,560 (near the 50-day EMA) → $2,480
Resistance: $2,650–$2,700 → $2,800
The 4H RSI is oversold (~29), with a potential technical bounce if support at $2,500–$2,560 holds
The medium-term structure remains above the longer-term EMAs, but short-term momentum is weaker than BTC's
