Injective published a new whitepaper on October 7.

This is the first comprehensive rewrite since its initial release in December 2018. Its focus has shifted from a front-running-resistant protocol on Ethereum to a Layer 1 geared toward institutional finance and asset tokenization. The real question is whether this shift can be put into practice: the whitepaper assigns role-based permissions for minting, sending, receiving, and burning tokenized RWA; tokenized assets are traded on a fully on-chain central limit order book, with prices settled through sealed-bid, high-frequency batch auctions. The mechanics are laid out in full, but whether institutions will come onboard depends on whether anyone actually issues assets on the chain.

If no institutions issue tokenized assets on Injective going forward, and the role-based permissions in the whitepaper remain unused, this assessment will be invalidated.
