Swiss crypto wallet provider Tangem has announced its first physical Visa card, with an initial limited release of 5,000 cards. The card supports in-store and online payments, as well as ATM withdrawals.

Users can top up the card directly from a self-custody wallet and transfer funds back to the wallet if the card is suspended or closed. Tangem plans to unveil its first physical Tangem Pay cards at the Token2049 event in Singapore.

A card that offers cashback in USDC stablecoin issued by Circle on eligible purchases. The cashback rate is 1% for Basic plan users and 2% for Plus plan users.

According to Tangem, more than 40% of Tangem Pay transactions come from Latin America and over 30% from the U.S., while the supply of physical cards remains limited in some markets. Andrey Ilinskiy, head of Tangem Pay, said issuance depends on aligning demand, regulations, banking infrastructure, and card issuance requirements.
