A guy came to me after turning his 5,000U account into zero in just three months. He said, “Brother Hu, am I just unbelievably unlucky?” I looked at his trading history. It wasn’t bad luck—he’d made all four classic beginner mistakes$ETH

First, his position sizes were ridiculously large. With a 5,000U account, he’d open a 4,000U position on a single trade. If the market moved 3% against him, he was wiped out. You might say you got the direction right, but the market didn’t give you time to make a profit. Would it kill you to use a smaller position?

Second, his stop-loss was pointless. He’d set one, then move it when the price hit it. He’d keep moving it, and eventually cancel it altogether. You couldn’t bear to take a small loss, so the market made you take a big one. A stop-loss isn’t a suggestion—it’s something you follow. When it hits, get out. Don’t wait or hold on$BTC

Third, he got greedy as soon as he saw a profit. Up 10%? He wanted 20%. Up 20%? He wanted to double his money. Then the market turned, the profit disappeared, and he lost some of his principal too. You didn’t lose to the market—you lost because you couldn’t control your greed.

Fourth, he panicked as soon as he saw a loss. Down 5%, and he got nervous; down 10%, and his hands and feet went cold; down 15%, and he bailed right at the bottom. Then it bounced, and he kicked himself. You weren’t on the wrong side of the trade—you let fear take control$SNDK

How do you fix it?

Cut your position size to 10%; never risk more than 500U on a single trade.
Lock in your stop-loss. If it hits, get out—no exceptions.

When you make a profit, withdraw half first. Don’t let your gains rot in your account.
When you’re losing, don’t panic. First check whether your stop-loss has been hit. If not, hold; if it has, get out.

If you don’t fix these four habits, no matter how much capital you get, you’ll just be handing it to the market.
