Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang’s daughter, Madison Huang, married Nico Capretti in Hawaii more than a week ago. According to Sina Finance, Capretti has rapidly become one of Nvidia’s core executives and a key contact for many customers and partners.
Several employees said Huang may be laying the groundwork for Madison Huang and Capretti to take on greater leadership roles in the next phase of the company. The report said Nvidia’s operating model now looks more like a family business than many outsiders realize.
Capretti has helped manage Nvidia’s multibillion-dollar relationships with emerging cloud providers and other data-center-related companies, including financing support and sales leads. He also played a central role in Nvidia’s financing push with Wall Street and private equity firms, including a plan announced in August to raise $500 billion from investors to help finance purchases of Nvidia chips for data centers.
The article said Capretti has also led credit-support deals, including an agreement with Australian emerging cloud provider Firmus that could involve more than $15 billion in chip purchases. Nvidia is also reassessing the structure of its AI infrastructure partnership program as some larger cloud providers have declined to join.
