$BTC At midday, it hovered around the 84,000 mark, down 1.72% over 24 hours. The round-number level has finally given way. Sentiment, however, ticked up: the Fear & Greed Index hit 71, entering the Greed zone, widening the divergence between price and sentiment.

Money on the sidelines is still sitting tight: Tether’s market cap is $183.8 billion, up just 0.27% over 7 days; compliant USD stablecoins total $74.6 billion, up 0.59% over 7 days. Both major USD stablecoins are standing by, pointing to clear caution among sidelined investors.

On-chain activity tells the opposite story. Three signals all point negative: Machi Big Brother cut his long positions, turning his account from profit to a $2.4 million unrealized loss; a TRUMP whale’s holdings, bought for $11.55 million a year ago, have shrunk to $2.16 million—a loss of 81.3%; meanwhile, an entity withdrew 110 million Lobster tokens worth $7.01 million from an exchange today. Long buyers are losing money, sellers are heading for the exits, and buyers are only picking up small-cap tokens on-chain. After losing 85,000, the price failed to hold this level, so a short-term pullback is now on the table. A break below 83,000 would confirm a further leg down; holding above 86,000 would leave room for a rebound that recoups the losses.
