Bitcoin falls below $85,000—is $83,600 the key short-term level?

$BTC Current price is around $84,200, down about 1.5% on the day, trading between $83,600 and $85,800

It has been stuck in an $83,000–$87,000 range over the past week. The October 2 high of around $87,200 was not breached. The short-term outlook is weak and choppy, while the medium-term price remains above the 20-day and 50-day moving averages

First support is at the intraday low of $83,600–$83,800. If that gives way, the next level is $82,900–$83,100, followed by $82,500

Resistance lies at $85,600–$86,700. Only a sustained move above that would put the previous high of $87,200 in view; until there is more room to rise, chasing a long position offers poor risk-reward

A break below $83,600 turns the outlook bearish; reclaim $86,700, and a rebound comes back into view!
