📦 While the broader memecoin market pulls back, BNB Chain is putting on a different show: “BNB Memecoin Season.”
According to Bubblemaps, over 100,000 on-chain traders have recently taken part in new token launches on BNB Chain, with around 70% making a profit. BNB itself hit a new all-time high of about $1,335 (up roughly 6% intraday). A typical example: Cao Zhen (CZ), named after CZ, surged 9,178% just five hours after launch, but had a market cap of only about $660,000.
My take: This BNB memecoin season has “foundational fuel.” BNB is gaining strength thanks to its utility (gas, burns, and institutional allocations), while lower gas fees are bringing both traffic and low costs to on-chain speculation. That makes this a “localized bull market backed by a narrative,” rather than a purely sentiment-driven pump. But “70% profitable” is survivorship bias: the stats don’t show the tokens that went to zero or were rugged. A token like CZ, up 9,178% but with a market cap of only $660,000, is a classic case of thin liquidity: easy to get in, hard to get out. In other words, the season is real, but most of the “lottery tickets” are still just lottery tickets.
Risk to watch: If BNB retreats from its highs, on-chain memecoins typically have a much higher beta than BNB itself, and their drawdowns can be even steeper.
How long do you think this “utility + sentiment” double engine can keep BNB’s rally going? 🤔
