$SOL There hasn't been any particularly dramatic price increase today.

But what's interesting is that a lot of positions have already piled up in the futures market.

This kind of market action actually interests me more than a sudden surge.

Because the price hasn't given us an answer yet, but plenty of people have already put their money on the line.

It suddenly reminded me of a friend.

One night, a woman texted him:

“I'm home alone tonight. Want to come over?”

When our group of guys saw it, we all told him:

“Come on, you get it, right? You're in!”

He showered, shaved, put on cologne, and even packed things he might not need.

But when he got to her place, the first thing she said as she opened the door was:

“Thank goodness you're here! Can you help me move my bed?”

He did end up going into her room that day.

Just to move furniture.

Sometimes the market is much the same.

Just because everyone thinks the answer is obvious doesn't mean things will actually unfold the way they expect.

There are a lot of positions in SOL right now, but an increase in OI alone can't tell us whether the bulls or the bears will come out on top.

What really matters is whether the price confirms the move next.

If the price starts to strengthen without leverage overheating at the same time, that would be a healthier continuation.

On the other hand, if positions keep increasing while the price still can't push higher, we should be wary of all those hopeful positions ending up disappointed at once.

So there's no need to rush into imagining a story for the market right now.

The door is open, but we'll have to wait for the market itself to tell us what happens after we walk into the room.
