Russian state media recently reported that the leaders of the United States, China and Russia may hold their first trilateral meeting on November 18–19 during APEC in Shenzhen.

In fact, the time and location of the APEC summit in Shenzhen have been confirmed, but whether the three leaders will meet, and in what format, remains merely a “possibility under discussion”; the three sides have not jointly announced any plans.
Russia has sent positive signals several times, saying APEC offers an opportunity for the three leaders to meet. China has emphasized its willingness to help ensure APEC’s success, but has not directly confirmed that the meeting is “finalized.”
Whether the United States will attend has also not been made clear.
