The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) is moving to regulate leveraged crypto trading. Chairman Michael Selig announced on October 5 at a blockchain regulatory symposium in New York that it is introducing a new federal regulatory framework for leveraged crypto trading aimed at retail users. The framework includes two proposals, Regulation Crypto Asset Transactions (CTX) and Regulation Crypto Asset Markets (CAM), which are now open for public comment. With the U.S. still lacking comprehensive legislation for crypto markets, this could put U.S. crypto platforms on a clearer path to federal regulation. (Source: X)
