If you’re new to Binance and want to know when prices rise or fall in cryptocurrency markets/
These are the signals professionals use to tell whether the market is going up or down. I’ll try to explain them simply with examples from Binance itself.
First: Downturn indicators (danger zone - don't buy)
*1. Extreme Fear Index*
There’s a website called Fear & Greed. If the score drops to 10–20 (extreme fear), it means people are panic-selling and the market is likely to fall further. If you see it in red, don’t enter the market.
*2. Bitcoin breaks an important support level*
For example, Bitcoin was at $85,000, fell below $84,000, and stayed there for an hour. This is called a support breakdown, and it's often followed by another 2%–3% drop.
*3. Strong negative news from the U.S.*
- Interest rate hike
- A major exchange is banned
- A coin is banned
As soon as you see news like this on Twitter, all the coins turn red within 10 minutes.
*4. Low volume and rising price*
If a coin rises 5% but trading volume is low (for example, just $1 million), it's a false rise and the price will quickly drop again. A genuine rise needs high volume, like PAXG's $27 million.
*5. Several long red candles in a row*
On the Binance chart, if you see 3 large red candles in a row, it means there's strong selling pressure.
Second: Bullish indicators (opportunity moments)
*1. The Fear and Greed Index*
If the index is at 80–90 (extreme greed), the market is hot and rising, but beware: it's a risky time to buy because it could suddenly reverse. The best time to buy is when the index shifts from fear to neutral.
*2. Bitcoin holds above support*
For example, Bitcoin (BTC) fell to $84,000, then quickly rose back above $85,000 and held steady. This means buyers are stronger, and a rise is coming.
*3. Strong positive news*
- A major company like Tesla buys Bitcoin
- The U.S. cuts interest rates
- Binance lists a new coin
This news lifts the entire market.
*4. High trading volume with a green candle*
If you see a coin rise 5% with a trading volume of $30 million, like PAXG, that's a real rise, with lots of people buying in.
*5. Gold (PAXG) rises while Bitcoin falls*
This is an important signal: if gold is rising, it means there's fear in the world and people are fleeing to gold. At times like that, PAXG is safer than other coins.
Practical takeaways for you as a beginner:
Don't memorize all the indicators; just remember these two:
> *Before you buy, check:*
> 1. Is Bitcoin green and holding steady? = Buy
> 2. Is Bitcoin in the red and dropping sharply? = Don't buy; wait
And *the best bearish indicator for getting out:* if your coin has dropped 7% and you're at a loss, don't wait for it to recover 15%. Sell half your position and protect the rest of your money.
