🔥⚠️ URGENT: NEW RULES FOR INTERNATIONAL DEPOSITS AND WITHDRAWALS IN BRAZIL (BCB No. 521/2025) ⚠️🔥
Hey everyone, did you see Binance’s official announcement? Starting November 1, 2026, the rules for transferring crypto to and from abroad have changed due to requirements from the Central Bank of Brazil.
If your deposit is pending or you have questions about a withdrawal, check out this summary of what’s changed to avoid any issues! 👇
📌 WHAT HAS CHANGED IN PRACTICE?
Now, every international crypto transfer requires you to fill out a quick questionnaire (pop-up) stating the purpose and the beneficiary/sender.
1️⃣ Pending International Deposits:
• If you sent crypto from a self-hosted wallet (e.g., MetaMask, Ledger) or a foreign exchange to Binance, the funds will remain pending until you provide the source information on the deposit page.
2️⃣ Withdrawals Abroad:
• When withdrawing to a self-custody wallet or an exchange outside Brazil, you’ll be asked to confirm whether the account is in your name and the purpose of the transfer.
3️⃣ Domestic Transfers (Pix / Brazilian Exchanges):
• NOTHING CHANGES! Pix and transfers between platforms based in Brazil will continue as usual.
🚨 PAY ATTENTION TO THE LIMITS AND DETAILS!
• Standard Limit: International transfers without an authorized foreign exchange institution are limited to USD 100,000 per transaction.
• Travel Rule: This update is NOT the Travel Rule (which only comes into effect in 2027/2028); it is simply a foreign exchange requirement from the BCB.
💡 TIP: If your deposit hasn’t arrived in your account, go to Wallet > Crypto Deposit > Pending Transactions and complete the declaration requested in the pop-up!
