How do you switch your brain from “Defense” mode to “Execution” mode? ⚡️🛡️
When you perceive the market as an enemy, your brain is under constant stress (triggering the “fight or flight” response).
In this state, your thinking gets impaired, and you start doing impulsive, foolish things: removing stop-losses, going all-in, and tilting.
How do you switch modes?
Reduce your position size: If your heart races when you enter a trade, your risk is too high. Reduce your position by 2–3 times.
Think in series: Tell yourself, “This trade is just 1 of a series of 20 trades. Its result alone doesn’t determine anything.”
Automate your stops: Set a stop-loss as soon as you enter—and don’t let yourself move it in a way that increases your risk.
💡 The main point:
You’ll stop defending yourself against the market only when you understand that the market isn’t attacking you. You control your risk in every trade.
